This Agreement places obligations on government and on the Gwich'in Tribal Council. These obligations relate to matters such as resource management, land management, economic development, financial management, wildlife harvesting, enrolment, etc.

This page provides an overview of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, signed in 1984, which was the first comprehensive land claim agreement signed north of the 60th parallel.
The purpose of this agreement is to expand the role of the Inuvialuit Development Corporation and its subsidiaries in the supply and delivery of goods and services in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
