Download Inuktitut Fonts

To view the Inuktitut version of our Web site, you will need to use the Pigiarniq font:

The Pigiarniq font can be downloaded from the Government of Nunavut Web site.

Instructions:

There are 5 styles of the font: bold, heavy, italic, light and regular. Once you download the file, unzip or decompress it and place on your computer; drag and drop the font file into your "Fonts" directory (typically: C:\Windows\Fonts\).

Note for users of Internet Explorer version 7:

The Inuktitut font may not display on your screen if you are using Internet Explorer 7. If you are experiencing this problem, please do the following:

  1. In Internet Explorer 7, go to Tools, then choose Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Options box, click on Fonts.
  3. In Fonts, go to the pull down menu and choose Canadian syllabics.
  4. Then click on Pigiarniq to select this font.
