Aboriginal Youth Training Program (AYTP)

Provides Aboriginal young people with 17 weeks of summer employment, including three weeks training at Regina, Saskatchewan.

Blueprint for the Future

Project of the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation that provides Aboriginal youth with a forum where they can be exposed to a variety of educational and employment-related information.

Describes the CYLP program, a six-month internship program that provides Northern youth with training and work experience with leading organizations in Arctic countries.

Labour Market Youth Development Programs

This employment program is geared towards young Métis living in Alberta who are experiencing difficulties in entering the labour market or finding suitable employment.

Native Youth Program, The (for highschool students) (PDF)

Offers Native youth the opportunity to research and interpret their own cultures in a museum setting.

RAVEN Aboriginal Youth Employment Program

This outreach program is designed to build bridges into Canadian Aboriginal communities and to make Aboriginal youth aware of potential military or civilian careers with the Department of National Defence.

Serving Canada's Aboriginal People

This program provides Aboriginal youth with 17 weeks of summer employment. Candidates receive training at the RCMP's Training Academy and then return home to provide 15 weeks of police support services.
